“Christmas in Bethlehem – 4 nights on the Grand Lagoon”
Take a stroll through Bethlehem and experience some of the sights and sounds of the ancient village where Mary & Joseph came to register for the census and where Jesus was born in a manger.
Admission to the Village is free, but the tax collectors will gladly accept donations of canned goods and unwrapped toys.
The Village opens at 4pm with two full programs at 4:15 and 5:45, including Mary & Joseph entering Bethlehem on a donkey and live music from local school and church choirs sharing the Christmas story.
In addition to the canned food and toy drive, Bethlehem Christmas Village will host the second annual launch of Boats of Hope, a fresh food drive that puts boxes of fresh, local food into the hands of needy families. Many oversized laminated paper boats will be illuminated on Saturday, December 20 at 5pm and pulled into Grand Lagoon to light up the night. To sponsor a Boat of Hope, call 763-7359 or register at BCvillage.org. Cost is only $10, of which $8 goes directly to purchase the fresh fruit & veggies. Purchase a boat in the name of a loved one.
